Dopo la liberazione dell'Eritrea, ho lavorato ad Asmara negli anni '90, usando lo stesso termine "era delle masse" per elaborare un progetto pubblico per le masse. Il nome di quel progetto era Albero del martire "Martyr's Tree". Illuminando le masse, ho usato il metodo di illuminare le masse per piantare l'albero del martire. Come parte di questo progetto, ero impegnato a guidare le masse eritree a piantare più di cinque milioni di alberi chiamati Albero del martire. Apparentemente, ero anche molto impegnato mentre stavo lavorando per progettare questo progetto per mantenere l'ambiente dell'Eritrea, e personalmente speravo davvero che potesse supportare l'ambiente regionale e globale.

Il motto "Pensa globalmente, agisci localmente" è stata per me una guida etica da allora, in quanto intellettuale, al servizio dell'intera umanità. Apparentemente, ne ho avuto la sensazione prima del giorno in cui è stato creato. Guarda la data in cui ho iniziato a lavorare con questo motto. C'era un intellettuale che ci pensava prima della sua esistenza ambientale chiamato Patrick Geddes durante l'urbanistica scozzese, restaurata nel suo libro "Cities in Evolution" nel 1915.

Ma il vero uso del termine è stato attribuito a David Ross Brower, fondatore di "Friends of the Earth" nel 1971, Rene Dubos nel 1977, Jacques Ellul e Frank Feather nella conferenza tenutasi con lo slogan "Thinking Globally, Acting Locally" "nel 1979, attraverso il quale ha vinto la paternità dello slogan.
