Stop Political Prostitution in Ethiopia!

Since 1991, the political drama in Ethiopia is not to lead the country as a sovereign nation, but to dismantle the state and its resources. When TPLF came to power, Ethiopia has lost its Read Sea and became a landlocked, poor country.

Leaders were collecting its resources and accumulated it in European countries as well as in China. The political philosophy of TPLF was "divide and rule " to accomplish political disintegration through negative ethnic federalism.

For the last 30 years, this political philosophy weakened the Horn of Africa in general because the political drama was purchased by neighboring countries dictatorial leaders.

After the coming to power of Abiy Ahmed Ali as prime minister of Ethiopia in 2018, the political drama shifted from "divide and rule system" to "Oromizing the whole Ethiopia by confusing or convincing" the people.

Abiy Ahmed and his members wants to expand Oromo land and culture from south to north and from east to west, not peacefully but through bloody war. This is related to the traditional Oromo culture called "Gadda System".

According to this customary political system, the "Lubba" (all adult Oromo) should do devastative expansion to control new lands in every 8 years; and during their expansion, they kill other ethnic groups, and burn their houses.

Since Abiy Ahemed, an Oromo Prime Minister came to power, the "Lubba" expansion happened irregularly towards Amhara region, Somali region, the Southern region, Benishangul Gumuz region and Afar region.

Their future plan is to build a strong Oromo State with its access to Red Sea. As a result, the Oromo leaders destroyed Tigray region through devastative war for the last six months. By creating political alliance with Essayas Aforki, the president of Eritrea, Abiye Ahimed wants to build a strong dictatorial regime in the Horn of Africa.

The reason why I am forced to write "Stop Political Prostitution" as a title for this article is due to two basic reasons:

1. For the benefit of the central government and for political profit, innocent civilians are dyeing for no reason. Every day, hundreds are being killed by government sponsored Oromo killers. Millions are displaced and starved, and all these are happening due to state sponsored political drama.

2. By killing innocent civilians due to their ethnic background (selectively the Amhara's and Tigrayan's), the Abiy Ahmed's governance would like to play double role:

On the one hand, they try to peruse the international society by saying that the coming election is fare and democratic; on the other hand they are banning competitive political parties from the election.

This dirty game is not only taking the lives of poor civilians, but also consuming the lives of higher officials, activists, historians and business men.

The other political game is the dispute of "Nile Water". It is known that the controversies over this river lasted for hundreds of years in the region.

However, the current political drama is different from the former ones because Ethiopian, Egyptian and Sudanese politicians would like to divert local public questions to the Nile political stress.

Since they are not able to respond to locally raised political, social and economic demands of the society, leaders pull old and dirty game of "Nile conflict". They are doing all their efforts to put the people of the region into full flagged water war.

When western countries try to help the budget, Ethiopian political leaders use it for their personal business, they educate their children in expensive schools in the United States and Europe.

The wider society is under famine due to high rate of corruption. By forgetting their political ruins, Ethiopian leaders since 1991 try to criticize first world nations by rising the history of colonialism as a victim-repair strategy.

Especially, the current political team of Ethiopia is clearly underestimating democratic and exemplary countries of Europe and United States due to their repetitive alerts that genocide and ethnic civil war will be provoked in the Horn of Africa, if there is no political transformation and cease fire.

Anyone who reads the tweets of Mr. Taye Dendea Aredo, higher politician in Oromo region in Ethiopia, he/she can easily understand what kind of a dictatorial regime is under establishment in the Horn of Africa.

Therefore, the current political drama in Ethiopia should be stopped through fast and decisive intervention by the United Nations and the European Union before millions die through civil war.

The people in the Horn of Africa passed through repetitive civil war and famine, and I strongly refuse the proposed civil war in the region by Oromo extremist leaders of Ethiopia.

If needed, the United Nations should deploy Peace Security Forces in Ethiopia, as well as in the border areas between Sudan and Ethiopia.
