The Ethiopian Journalist Eskindir Nega

Today, I came back to HOA to share with our fellow men and women in the Horn of Africa about one of the most famous Ethiopian journalists and politicians, Eskindir Nega.

From his naissance up to now, Eskindir is a fighter for truth, a true lover of his country and his people. This journalist was born in Addis Ababa on November 7, 1969.

He studied at Addis Ababa University and in the States to build himself on the journey of truthful journalism.

More than anyone else, Eskindir passed most of his productive age in prison that the Ethiopian government detained him about ten times in very bad prisons in the country. currently, the country is in a civil war which is leading it into disintegration and total failure. Before the breakout of the civil war, Eskindir proposed to organize an all-inclusive transitional government until when a democratic and transparent election could be held in the country.

However, the Nobel Peace Prize winner, Abiy Ahmed Ali responded to Eskindir Nega in a public speech by mentioning his name: "If you think so, we will be in clear war".

Eskinder is one of the very few self-actualized politicians in the history of the human race.

As many Ethiopians did, Eskindir had the chance to lead a peaceful life in the United States with his wife and his beloved daughter.

Eskinder didn't choose the easy way: he preferred to give his life to innocent Ethiopians who are under severe persecution. Eskinder never pulls the trigger to gain power, neither his supporters have machine guns.

Nowadays, many unknown individuals, especially in Oromia and Tigray regions are acting as warlords. Their daily speech is full of terror and war. Among those personalities, Jawar Mohhamed and Getachew Reda could be mentioned.

Eskindir is different: he fights using his pen. His pen is sharper than a missile and his presence "boulverse" the full.
Currently, Eskindir's way is the only chance for Ethiopia to come out from this upside down suitatiuon:

1. Organizing all-inclusive Aristocratic Temporary government and moving together towards unification


2. Free and democratic election


3. Revising the constitution


4. Let Addis Ababa for Addis Ababaians

If the Ethiopian government rejects those points and prefers to continue cheating the Ethiopian people, the future will be much harder than the year before.
