I know the root causes of the conflict in Darfur. Darfur, as the other regions in Sudan at the center, north, east and south has been neglected and thus marginalized since a long time.

It is as you said, the neglecting and marginalizing began immediately after the independence of Sudan from Britain in 1956. And as you stated in many pages in your network, the interests of the ruling elites have never been about creating and ruling a one million square mile land by democracy, social justice and welfare.

The ruling elutes were and are always the main causes of all the problems in Sudan including Darfur. And yes, the militias in western Sudan have never been created only by this regime you call the military religious regime, although it is the worst regime that Sudan has ever had.

The social justice isn't just of treating the people by the same measures whether they are from the center, east, north, west or south. It is more than that. It is in the equality in rights and duties, as it is on the same sharing of power and wealth.

All of that is missing in Sudan since its Independence Day. The ruling elites ,as you have mentioned have been interested only on their own selfishness of interests, whether to keep the wealth and sharing the power to themselves, or to their parties and loyalties.
