Sudan Is Not Arabic State!

Sudan is not Arabic state. History doesn’t say that. Customs and culture do not say that. So, from where did this assumption come?

السودان ليس دولة عربية، ولا ينبغي له ان يكون كذلك

بدأ الكثيرون يصحون علي وهم ان السودان دولة عربية، ليروا الآن بالتحديد في هذه الآونة من القرن الحادي والعشرين ان السودان ليس دولة عربية ولا ينبغي له ان يكون كذلك، رغم اننا ظللنا ومنذ اكثر من 28 عاماً نقول ذلك، ونسجِّل الحقائق، عبر مقالاتي وفي كتابي "تراجيديا القرن الافريقي السياسية".

نعم، أصوات كثيرة أتت بعد ذلك لتقول بهذا التوجّه… ولابد في تناولنا لهكذا مواضيع من الايفاء بايراد المصادر السابقة، لايفائها حقها الأدبي، فيما تقدم من دعاوي صادقة، تأتي بتفسيرات منطقية لكل ما ورد في هذا الشأن.

هذه حقيقة تاريخية، فالسودان ليس دولة عربية ولا يحق له ان يكون كذلك… الا انه وبكل أسف فقد عمد القادة السياسيون للسودان منذ الاستقلال الي الانسياق وراء وهم زائف، او ربما "حُلم" بان يكونوا عرباً، متجاهلين للواقع الديموغرافي والجيوبولتيكي، بل حتي وللتوزيع المتباين للثقافات والمعتقدات التي تختلف في معظمها عن تراثيات العرب والعروبة تماماً، ما عدا بطبيعة الحال بعض اللغة وبعض الدين، وهما ليس المحك في تقرير انتماء الجنس البشري السوداني بأكمله للعروبة، التي تساقطت شذرات في القرن الماضي، الذي لم يطول غيابه، فقد مضي قبل فترة وجيزة وهذا القرن.

هذا الحديث لا يُعادي أحداً، عرباً او خلافهم، انما هو يُسجل واقعاً معروفاً، تجاوزته النُخب السودانية المستعربة الحاكمة، لتقرر به مصير شعب، لم يحظ اطلاقاً ومنذ استقلاله في عام 1956م، بدستورٍ يوافقُ عليه وفيه، علي تقنين وضعه الأثني، وعلي تقاسم السلطة والثروة، في مليون ميل مربع من التباين الانساني، والثقافي، والطبيعي والجغرافي.

ان القرب من المحيط العربي ليس مدعاة للقول بعروبة السودان، فايران مثلاً اقرب، وهي ليست عربية، واسرائيل في قلب المنطقة وهي ليست عربية، والهند ايضا اقرب ولها وجود كثيف في الخليج، وهي ليست عربية. وباكستان كذلك، وتركيا ايضاً… ناهيك عن الدولة الكردية التي لم يقم لها كيان، وتظل شوكة في حلق هذه الدول العربية.

ان دعاوي الشعوبية العربية لم تثبت في هذا القرن وقد بدأت تضمحل منذ القرن العشرين الماضي، بسبب مباشر من قادة دول عربية، استمدوا شرعيتهم من افتراضين متناقضين، يدعي احداهما الصفة الملوكية الالهية، ويدعي الثاني الثورية التقدمية افتراضاً، في حين اثبتوا جميعاً انهم أبعد من الثورية بسنين ضوئية عديدة، حتي انهم اصبحوا كالنجوم التي ماتت منذ زمن بعيد، وما تزال ترسل للناس ضوءاً. أقول أبعد من الثورية لانهم أصبحوا ديكتاتوريين، بمرور الزمن، بل وخرجوا عن فكرة القومية العربية، التي تقول بشعارات: حرية، اشتراكية، وحدة وأمة عربية واحدة، خرجوا الي طريق الملكية نفسها، التي ثاروا عليها، بتنصيب اولادهم لخلافتهم. فأي ضلال وبهتان، وزور، وتلفيق للوطنية اكثر من هذا؟ ان فاقد الشئ لا يُعطيه حقاً.

هذه كانت فكرة حزب البعث العربي الاشتراكي، وهي فكرة الناصريين في الحزب الناصري، وحيث تشعّب الحزبان، حتي في بلد لا علاقة له أثنياً وجيبوليتكياً بمفردة الأمة العربية، وأخذوا يُنظِّرون لتلبيس السودان زيّاً ليس له. ومن المؤسف انهم نسيوا ان هذه الاحزاب العروبية الشعوبية هي من أسهم في تدمير بلدانها الأصلية. ومن العجائب ان حزب البعث العربي الاشتراكي يدعي هذه المبادئ في الوحدة العربية وينسي انه قد انقسم بين جناح عراقي وجناح سوري! انظر Invitation to Comment 29: اضاءة مهمة لأي عمل سوداني معارض، او اعلامي خاص باحزاب شعوبية مثل البعث والناصري.

Sudan Is Not Arabic State!

The Sudan is not an Arab state, nor should it be. Here are so many reasons stating why not.

A lot of people seemed to wake up from the illusion that the Sudan is an Arab country, precisely at this time of the twenty-first century. They now know that the Sudan is not an Arabic state and it should not be.

Unfortunately, since the Independence Day, the political leaders of the Sudan have resorted to a false illusion, or maybe a daydream indicating that they are Arabs, and ignoring the demographics and geopolitical realities of the Sudan.

They didn’t only ignore that, but they ignored even the varied distribution of cultures and beliefs, which differ mostly from those of Arab and arabism altogether.

I am saying this, except of course for some language and some religion, which are not the touchstone of the determination of belonging of the entire Sudanese human race to Arabism.

Arabism itself has begun to fall in the last century, which has not lasted long and it just gone completely by this century.

This "hadeeth" (speech) does not antagonise anyone, Arabs or otherwise, but it is a well-known reality, overtaken by the ruling Sudanese elites to determine the fate of a people who, since its independence in 1956, has never had a constitution to which it approves legalisation of its ethnical position and sharing of power and wealth, in a million square miles of human, cultural, natural and geographical variation.
