Intimate Eritrean Sudanese Relations!

by Admin

There is intimate relation between the Sudanese people and the Eritrean people. Eritrea has always attracted some Sudanese during the colonization periods, to spend good times in the capital city of Asmara or the small Rome as they call it, especially when they come after weddings to spend the honeymoon there.

The people's relations run without any intimidation. Their relations are kind instinct with passion and that is the depth of it.

I found Asmara inspiring and when I got to Massawa, I was feeling pure sadness, because the ports always remind me of travelling far away from home to wonderful lands.

I love the places,
The streets,
And the spaces,
I love the trees,
And the faces ...

and the Italian style of architecture in the capital of Asmara.

I spent good times at the Odeon, Rome and the Capitol cinemas and wrote some of my poems, articles and columns there, even while I was enjoying some international operas and concerts.

To my surprise, I sometimes found that someone I do not know has paid for my drink.

I enjoyed talking with / or interviewing, Gail Gilmore, John Gray, Julia Saar, Lokua Kanza, Didi, Salif Keita and many others, while enjoying the Alliance Francais studies and cultural activities.
