Yes, Very Very Late! NEW
by: Anonymous

We are Eritreans who are living under the great totalitarian regime of Asmara and yet with out getting opportunity to escape.

Yet we are always in sympathy with our brethren suffering everywhere, particularly in Libya. Dear, brothers, we are also suffering in our country and you are already away from the domestic bloodsucker, and you have to struggle and tackle every thing there. Be as courage as Eritreans in their country... God Bless Eritrea!

Stop Detaining & Torturing Eritreans! NEW
by: Debra

In Eritrea, it is common for the government to detain Christians who are not followers of the country's major religions.

They arrest women, children & old and young men leaving their families behind them unable to make a living.

They take their documentation & force all children into military services before they pursue their education. They imprison Christians among those people & hold them for decades without charges or trials.

They torture them & lock them in shipping containers, tie them up outside with their arms & legs behind them all day in the 50 degree heat!

They hide the Christian prisoners under the ground from any organisation that tries to rescue them.

Many of these Eritreans die from dehydration & lack of medical treatment for diabetes.

STOP arresting & TORTURING Christians in ERITREA

Nobody should be forced into Military Service.

Why are we allowing the regime to continue violating the human rights?

Eritreans also face hard situations when they flee the country. The stories we hear or read are horrible. Stop torturing Eritreans in Eritrea and stop torturing Eritreans away from Eritrea who seek asylum.

They know that they will shoot them if the authorities in those countries returned them by force.

Here are Some Notes to Consider When You Comment! NEW
by: Admin

Thanks to Selamawi for his entry and thanks to the two commentators. Selamawi has now complete pages in the HOA's Network by his name here.

It is good to enter a nickname if you did not want to publish your name. However, it is even good to enter your real name and then request us to treat it confidentially and not publish it.

We take personal securities very seriously.

In addition, it is good to provide your email address to receive follow up to your entry to read what others have said about your comment.

We want to read at the same time the thoughts of the other side that people criticize.

There is one short story about one of those refugees from other sect of Christianity you can read at Eritrean Refugees in Ethiopia.

The fourth point is that we want live stories about Eritrean refugees, with good data. We do not publish identifications here to keep the figure secure. We submit good stories to the relevant international human rights organization.
